HISTORY OF Hi5



As a child to adulthood Dan worked at a produce stand for Frank Sigona. He became an expert in produce and the business of produce at a very young age. From the Sigona family Dan learned to appreciate high quality fresh fruit and vegetables. To pay his way through college Dan became a personal trainer at 24 Hour Fitness in San Jose California. He received his degree in Kinesiology and Nutrition from San Jose State. Through a great contact Dan was asked to create and manage health and fitness expos in Pomona California.

Finally, in 1996 Dan decided to venture out on his own and create Hi5 Produce. Hi5 Produce was originally created to deliver fresh fruits and vegetables to homes on a weekly basis to help people eat healthier consistently. Hi5 Produce no longer delivers to homes, but the same purpose remains- to help people eat healthy on a consistent basis. Hi5 Produce delivers fresh fruit to people in their workplace and send fruit gift baskets anywhere in the United States.

At the same time Denise was an RN with a passion for Holistic Health. To pay her way through nursing school Denise became a massage therapist. These two worlds helped her realize the importance of teaching people about health before they get to the hospital bed. This led to speaking and teaching venues about health.

Today Denise RN,CMT is a speaker, co-owner of Hi5 Produce, co-owner of Hi5 Fitness, and creator of Hi5 Health Network. Denise's most favorite venture of all is being a homeschool mom to their four children.

Dan oversees Hi5 Produce, co-creator of the Yoke bar and Chain Fit, and owner of Hi5 Fitness. Dan is also the strength and conditioning coach for the Gilroy High School wrestling team. His most favorite venture of all is coaching his 11 year old son in wrestling and his girls in a variety of sports and music.
